This wine is produced from 35 years old Malbec vines grown on the Chakana Estate at 950 m in the foothills of the Andes. Only grapes from the best parcels have been handpicked, hand selected and fermented in very small lots. The resulting wine has been barrel-aged for 12 months and blended to reveal the character of the Andean " terroir": a complex wine with great length, very fine and intense flavours of dark fruits and plums, integrated with hints of chocolate and mocha.
